Tucson's deepest agave bar.

More than 100 pours and six curated flights, just off the University of Arizona.

The Agave Bar

One of Tucson's deepest agave selections.

Just off the University of Arizona in Main Gate Square, Agave House pours more than 100 tequilas, mezcals, sotols and bacanoras — the good stuff for sipping neat, and the workhorses behind our scratch margaritas. If you want to actually learn agave, this is the bar for it.

New to it? Order a flight and our bartenders will walk you through the difference between a bright blanco, a smoky espadín mezcal, and a desert sotol.

Good to know

What's the difference between tequila, mezcal, sotol and bacanora?

All are agave (or desert-plant) spirits from Mexico. Tequila is made from blue agave; mezcal can use many agaves and is often smoky; bacanora is Sonora's agave spirit; sotol comes from the desert spoon plant. We pour all four.

Do you offer flights?

Yes — six curated flights, from an approachable Tastes of Agave to the Bartender's Pick and an all-mezcal flight.

Do I need a reservation?

Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are a good idea on weekends and game days. You can book a table online.
